Exercises and Stretches for the Neck, Shoulders and Arms

Below are some  videos that I found are very good at explaining an exercise or stretch, and that are good for any level of flexibility.  Please enjoy, and look further into other videos posted by some of these teachers that you are drawn to.

Lower Back, Hips & Shoulders - Great start to stretching!
All movements emanate from the spine, so when your suffer from back tension and pain, your whole body is affected. Try this gentle somatic yoga sequence so that you regain freedom of movement in your shoulders, back and hips.

Scalene Stretch - Neck, Shoulders and Wrist
Scalene muscle tightness can mimic carpal tunnel and other arm, hand or wrist problems.  Simple neck stretching exercises can relieve your symptoms.  This video has a great introduction to the anatomy of the muscles of your neck.  Exercises begin at 3:13.

Neck and Upper Shoulders - Yoga Stretching
This short beginners yoga class takes you through how to stretch all of the major muscle groups of the neck, including those that are commonly responsible for headaches. It's a gentle yoga class that will make your neck feel so very good once you're done.

Pectoralis Minor and Major Stretch
This is from a lecture...  A little dry perhaps, but amazing stretches none-the-less.  Try these particularly if you are  feeling numbness, pins and needles or hot/cold in your hands or wrists.

"Turtle Stretch" for the Cervical Spine
For those at the computer or who text a lot.  Great stretch for rounded shoulders and forward protruding neck.

Scalene Stretch (muscles of the neck) This is a very effective stretch for the scalene Muscles that run along each side of your neck.   Try this seated series of exercises through the day at your desk or your home.  This is a great stretch also if you are feeling tightness in your jaw or TMJ.  You will notice a difference within days!
