Aromatic Massage

Aromatherapy (using essential oils or herbal compress) employs the use of pure botanical essential oils which are aromatic and medicinal in nature.

Just as blood gives our body life, essential oils are the life of plants. They can have healing effects on the body, especially the ones that are specifically chosen for these techniques. When applied to the body, the oils are absorbed into the skin and travel down through the dermis levels into the interstitial fluids. They are helpful in fighting bacteria and viruses that travel through the body.  Essential oils also stimulate the nerves and the re-growth of tissue.  Essential oils have also been known to improve the immune system.

Anne has a passion for plant based healing, through the foods she eats as well as the oils and tinctures that make up her "Farm-acy"! She has enjoyed learning from many teachers the medicine of essential oils, healing herbs, Bach flowers, and plant therapies. Ask Anne to incorporate essential oils into your massage oil for your next treatment if you are interested, at no extra charge. Blends are created to suit your individual needs and assist the body with healing and relaxing.

Q & A

I seem to react negatively to perfumes.  Will aromatherapy be a problem?
Unlike perfumes and aromatics, the essential oils that I use for treatment purposes do not contain any proteins.  They are pure essential oils which have no allergy-producing components.  That being said, if you are extremely sensitive to smells in particular, I recommend that you have a 'test patch' or 'test smell' prior to your appointment just to ensure that the treatment itself will not be overwhelming to your system.

What are essential oils and herbal compresses good for?
  • Relief from virus, colds, coughs
  • Immune and adrenal support
  • Ligament and soft tissue health
  • Stress and inflammation reduction
  • Increase concentration and focus
  • Very relaxing and soothing
